Boxers have an impressive air of strength and dignity. These dogs are energetic and strong, square bodied dogs. They have well developed muscular systems and hard bones. The gait is light and noble. The head of the dog carries high and adds pride to the overall appearance of the breed.
Eyes: The eyes of Boxers are dark brown.
Boxers Puppies - Body:
The neck of the Boxer dog is graceful, round and muscular, not wrinkly. The nape is distinctively marked. The back is not very long and tough and slightly inclining. The chest is deep and the ribcage is elongated and not barrel shaped.
Boxers Puppies - Coat
Boxers have rather short coat that is smooth, the coat has a metallic sheen. The coloring of the coat should be from light tan to bright red. Albino dogs are disqualified and are not allowed to breed. The usual coloring is brindle. There can be white markings on the muzzle, chest and sometimes on the backside. The white can cover a considerable part of the coat, but it should not exceed one third of the body.
Boxers Puppies - Grooming
Boxers are low-maintenance dogs as they have short coat that is very easy to groom. Regular brushing is enough to keep the Boxer's coat in a proper condition. Note that Boxers are extremely clean animals and tend to groom themselves like cats.
